Shelframe from Bahbak Hashemi-Nezhad is Perfect for the Not-So-Handy Man
Michael Hines — June 24, 2011 — Art & Design
Shelframe from Bahbak Hashemi-Nezhad is a unique shelving system that can be set up using a single nail or pin. Hashemi-Nezhad's design is a God-send for guys like me who aren't too handy when it comes to minor home improvements such as installing shelves.
The Shelframe hangs by a thin cable and come equipped with small silicone pads that stick to the wall and prevent the shelf from titling to one side if an uneven load is placed on them. As someone who isn't too handy, I am loving this design. I would really like to see Hashemi-Nezhad expand upon the Shelframe and design more pieces of furniture that can be easily hung up or snapped together. I'm thinking something along the lines of a bookcase or bed set that snaps together like a giant jigsaw puzzle.
