The UK Nintendo Store has officially stocked the highly sought-after wireless Sega Mega Drive controller. The new controller was designed so that Nintendo Switch owners could play the Mega Drive/Genesis games offered with the Switch Online Expansion Pass.
According to the company, the controller will work with all Sega games available on the platform, including all-time classics such as Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Strider, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Streets of Rage 2.
Switch Online is a relatively new paid subscription service that enables Switch gamers to play a range of games offered on different platforms that would otherwise be difficult to own. Of course, this includes Sega games, which is why Nintendo has created a brand-specific controller for fans of the console.
