The Secret app allows you to share your feelings and thoughts with friends without having to reveal who you actually are. It has the same feel as Frank Warren's PostSecret project. It also shares similarities with the Whisper app. The Secret app is different, because it you are communicating with people you know, more specifically, with your friends.
David Mark Byttow is the co-founder of the Secret app, and he said that the point is to share things you didn't necessarily want to attach yourself to. These are the kinds of things that you want to keep to yourself but be able to tell everyone at the same time. The content that people share on the Secret app is generally more vulnerable, insecure, emotions, sad, goofy or more angry than what they would show in person. It gives them a platform to be completely honest with their friends and with themselves.
