Most benches don't offer much beyond being a place to sit and rest, so this public seating design by Shoeb Khan is intended to offer a different kind of experience for users to enjoy.
The bench design features a space for users to sit and get work done, eat lunch or work using their own personal technology items. However, the seats on the bench are positioned to make conversing with another person who's sitting at the bench simple and organic in order to ensure the outdoor furniture ensures optimal socialization.
The public seating design can be used in a multitude of different ways in order to offer a space to sit for two or more people without feeling as though you're disconnected from one another.
