The Afterlife Of Scooters

Have you ever wondered what happens to Italy's scooters when they stop running? Milan-based artist, Maurizio Lamponi Leopardi has found a great use for them. He creates old lamps from recycled materials, including old Vespa parts. His creative mind doesn't stop there, however; he's also created lamps out of old Shell gas pumps and sells them from his company site, "Lamponi's Lamps."
Leopardi attended the mechanical engineering faculty in Milan for three years before giving up his studies to persue "more creative and realizable fields."
His works extend beyond lamps too and are well worth taking a look at.
