Google is Rolling Out New Tools to Keep Users Safe From Scams
Google announces a plethora of new updates and technology during its annual I/O conference and one of these is the upcoming scam detection tools. It will be integrated into Android phones later this year and is currently in the testing stages. It essentially uses AI technology to find fraudsters while they are in the middle of a conversation.
The technology will be constantly looking for conversation patterns that are closely associated with scams. Once these are found, users will be given an alert in real time on their phones. It was exemplified by a 'bank representative' asking for personal information, which is uncommon. The AI would flag this conversation and immediately let out an alert.
