The Zarooq Motors SandRacer 500GT is easily one of the more interesting cars to debut in 2017. It's essentially a sports car that's also designed to dominate the desert. The mid-engine two-seater is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 518 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque. To ensure that it wouldn't get bogged down in the sand weight was kept light with a carbon fiber body. Total weight checks in at around 2,600 pounds.
In addition to being lightweight and powered by a big V8 the SandRacer 500GT also looks to have some serious off-roading capabilities. There are off course the big, meaty tires but the bigger story is the suspension which can be adjusted to allow up to 18 inches of travel. Zarooq Motors plans to offer the SandRacer 500GT in a limited run of just 35 units, each of which will cost $450,000.
