Sand Repellant Travel Towels

The Evolve Adventure Towel is the world’s first sand repellant towel made from recycled plastic bottles. The towel was created by a high school environmental science teacher and utilizes an innovative fabric developed by Evolve Travel Goods, which it calls Ecolite Microfiber. Beyond its eco-friendly credentials, Ecolite Microfiber is a high-tech fabric that has unmatched performance when compared to traditional towels.

The Evolve Adventure towel boasts a number of breakthrough features: the innovative fabric allows sand to slip easily off, without becoming lodged in the fibers like a traditional cotton towel. The EcoliteTM microfiber can hold three times its weight in water, meaning each towel can absorb more than one liter of water on its own. The fabric is engineered to be lightweight, allowing the full-sized towel to be folded up to about the size of a large burrito. This makes it the perfect towel for traveling when space is at a premium.

Each towel has a dark side designed to absorb the maximum amount of sunlight and prime the water molecules for evaporation by heating
them faster. The unique weave pattern in the fabric was designed to greatly increase the surface area compared to other microfiber towels. This means the water can escape faster, significantly enhancing drying speed.
