Brooklyn-based design studio GRT Architects is the mind behind the interiors of the San Sabino restaurant located in New York's West Village. It is defined by buttery yellow tones which welcome a sunny aesthetic indoors. To create this warm ambiance, the studio taps the help of chefs Angie Rito and Scott Tacinelli another time as the team joined the neighboring Don Angie restaurant.
Both of these restaurants are in the same building where the facades were restored and windows peeled back to highlight the heritage. The studio explains the restoration process and how it maintains the historical build, stating "Under many layers of paint and filler we found the original storefronts clad in copper sheet that seemed only better for neglect with a charming verdigris and patina."
