The 'Nvidia RTX 2050' Will Ease the Strain on the Supply Chain

Nvidia is releasing the 'RTX 2050' graphics processing unit (GPU) for laptop builds in spring 2022. This card, while it is a part of Nvidia's 208 series of graphics cards, is remodeled with modern architecture more similar to the 30 series cards. Most notably, the Nvidia RTX 2050 is based on Ampere GA107 architecture which is the same as the 30 series cards, such as the RTX 3060.
This means that, while the RTX 2050 is an older card, it will still feature improved rendering and ray tracing performance over the other cards in its series. This means that laptops made with an RTX 2050 GPU will feature a lower price point than those with a 30 series card while boasting similar performance. Ideally, the release of this modernized 2018 GPU will ease some of the strain placed on the computer component supply chain.
