The conceptual Row-1 Wheelchair System is an accessibility-focused travel solution designed by Ciara Crawford to help transform the flying experience for passengers who require a mobility aid.
The wheelchair is designed to help passengers with disabilities or who are elderly by offering them a seat before they board the plane. The chair will then nest overtop of an existing seat in the first row of the cabin to keep them comfortable and also enable them to easily disembark upon arrival. This also eliminates the need to switch from a wheelchair to the airplane seat upon boarding.
