Switzerland-based imprint Rollimarchini Architects works together with global firm G8A Architects to design a new factory for Swiss imprint Jakob Rope Systems, which is known for manufacturing stainless steel wire. The factory is located in an industrial park in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City and is full of greenery that aids shelter from both rain and sun whilst simultaneously purifying the air naturally.
The site is 30,000 square meters and aims to highlight a more environmentally friendly solution to the usual factories that are dominated by concrete. The factory is made up of two main wings that are perpendicular to one another and has stacked concrete floor slabs with greenery that contributes to lowering the atmospheric temperature through evaporation, acting as air purifiers and dust particle binders."
