Norway-based design firm Studio Sløyd has unveiled a look at the Roggbif stools. There are 25 in total and it is designed with various colors in a playful way. The dyeing process is done on entire blocks of wood first and foremost and the series is comprised of 'through-colored' designs. It is showcased at the exhibition Roggbig at the Sorgenfri boutique.
Co-founder of the studio, Herman Ødegaard spoke to Dezeen about the design project, "We have not seen coloured wood like this before. We thought it was worth showing to people. It's unique that you have the possibility to sand and work with the material after colouring it, rather than the other way round. The colour will not disappear no matter how much you work it."
