Mary Van Puymbroeck — July 24, 2017 — Autos
Canadian telecommunications company 'Rogers' and connected car platform 'Mojio' have teamed up to deliver Canada's first connected car solution, 'Rogers Smart Drive.'
This app-connected system lets 'Rogers Share Everything' customers have access to a new platform that connects the user to smart vehicle monitoring. This new solution lets Rogers customers get speed, location and point-of-arrival updates to their cell phone. This platform also allows for in-car connectivity by turning vehicles into portable WiFi hotspots.
This new collaboration is a first-of-its-kind in Canada. Rogers Smart Drive vehicle updates allow parents to keep tabs on what young drivers are up to and will also provide a location if the car is stolen. Mojio's platform is the world's leading connected car solution. This system can be installed into any car built after 1996 by plugging the device into the car's OBD-II port.
