Inov-8 has revealed the world's first pair of hiking boots that have a graphene outsole, the pair has been named the 'ROCLITE 345 GTX.' In order to create the graphene hiking boots, Inov-8 collaborated with The University of Manchester's Graphene Institute. Michael Price, the Product and Marketing Director for Inov-8, stated that the collaboration with the Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester provided the capability to create outsoles that provide the toughest grip ever. The ROCLITE 345 GTX boots are currently available on the Inov-8 website.
Using graphene materials, the graphene hiking boots are 50% stronger and have 50% more elasticity than materials used in conventional hiking boots. Additionally, the boots feature an extremely lightweight design, where the boots weigh only 345g.
