Swiss MB&F has unveiled its latest masterpiece, a capsule collection of robot clocks. While the term robot clock sparks a few images of traditional round clocks with juvenile drawings of robots, MB&F's clock is sleek, sophisticated and quite luxurious.
First debuted in Geneva at SIHH 2016, the clocks within this limited-edition collection are known as 'The Sherman.' The Sherman was designed to be the little brother to the brand's previous robotic clock, the Melchior. These clocks are inspired by the tin robot toys of mid-century Japan and come with a simple clock in the chest area, while a glass dome in Sherman's head reveals a balance wheel and regulation system.
MB&F's latest robot clocks are constructed out of brass, which can be coated in gold, silver-colored palladium or diamond to suit the consumer.
