Rider Debuted the 'SR6' Motorbike with 125cc-Level Performance
Colin Smith — January 23, 2023 — Autos
'Rider,' the French electric mobility company, officially launched the 'Rider SR6' electric sports bike. This is a mid-range motorcycle with 125cc-level performance. The SR6 is powered by a 5kW continuous output motor with a peak output of 6kW. This motor is supplied by a 6.2kWh battery resulting in approximately 62 miles of range with a top speed of roughly 87 miles per hour. The motor offers a maximum torque of 118Nm, and the battery takes approximately five hours to charge fully.
In terms of its design, Rider placed the bike's battery at the bottom of its frame in between the two wheels. This increases traction and aerodynamics while also increasing safety by keeping the center of gravity low and grounded. Aside from this, the bike borrows from traditional motorsports bikes with a heavily angular design that allows the driver to lean into the windshield.
