Barcelona’s Renaissance Fira Hotel is designer Jean Nouvel's latest masterpiece. This luxe hospitality space embodies a modernist design aesthetic and features a sleek lobby area. In addition to its accommodations, the 27-storey skyscraper also houses Llibreria del Born, a popular bookstore with a focus on historical literature.
While hundreds of palm trees and plants adorn the hotel's staircase and glass-encased elevators, its lobby is industrial and urban, showcasing no plants and little ornamentation. The space houses rectilinear furnishings that include private seating and communal bench platforms.
In addition to its public spaces, the hotel's individual suites boast a clean and somewhat tropical design that resembles an oasis. The rooms feature an all-white color scheme along with hard wood finishes and patterned glass accents.
