Architect Alex Nerovnya’s Latest Design Boasts Reflective Glass
JD West — November 8, 2019 — Art & Design
Russian architect, Alexander Nerovyna, recently designed a remote home featuring reflective glass. Called the SOL house, the inspiration for the design of this home came from a desire to bring nature closer to the home. The panoramic glass walls certainly satisfy this desire by reflecting the surrounding scenery and by allowing the house to blend into the surrounding environment when viewed at certain angles.
Nerovnya and his team had three objectives in mind when designing this home including: clean shapes, natural materials, and energy efficiency. The gap between nature and house is brought even closer by the reflective glass filtering how much natural light enters the interior space throughout the day.
Nerovnya has plans to bring this minimalist, panoramic glass design to other buildings in the future.
