Rebecca Ross Creates Stunning Pieces of Art Using Atlas Maps
Yanis Rudzitis — March 5, 2011 — Art & Design
It is really interesting to see artists being inspired by other disciplines like science, technology or psychology. Interestingly, Rebecca Ross has found her inspiration from geography. With her latest project Find Your Way, Rebecca uses atlas maps as a medium to create new and interesting pieces of art. Parts of these maps are pinned together, creating beautiful overlapping images of new lands and continents.
This new topography has many dimensions, which show the creative mind of the artist and while stimulating the viewer's thoughts. Find Your Way by Rebecca Ross is a beautiful art project, which explores the connections between spaces and form while providing individuals with the view of what a "new world" would look like.
