Organised by Designbloom and Bisque Radiators, over 3000 creative individuals from 93 countries took part in the competition to design a radiator on the future. My favourites are 'Looop' and 'Knotbow', although the finalists are all pretty amazing.
The competition was won by an Italian design student, Leo Salzedo. He says of his design.
Implications - Crowdsourced competitions like this a great way for creative consumers to flex their imaginative muscles, and can often lead to some truly revolutionary designs that can potentially change the face of an industry. By tapping into the collective minds of thousands of people from around the world, companies can unlock a veritable gold mine of innovation just waiting to be explored.
