The Project A01 Architecture house looks similar to a ship, which is an unusual approach for an abode. However, the team has managed to make the design attractive while going forward with this futuristic look.
Interestingly according to DesignBoom, "as opposed to utilizing a commonly used concrete to meet the demands of the irregular form, the designers have deliberately chosen a special type called FiberC by Rieder Smart Elements." This material was used for a few different reasons. Sustainability was a big factor, since FiberC can withstand harsh conditions. Moreover it's quite malleable, making it perfect for this house that takes on such an unconventional shape. Being able to shape the facade in a number of ways was important, and the FiberC helped the designers achieve this.
