Yoshino Technologies announced that its solid-state technology (SST) research has led it to create the world's first portable SST battery. SST is more efficient, more convenient, and safer than traditional liquid electrolyte-based lithium batteries.
The efficiency stems from the density of the electrolytes, allowing the battery to store as much as double the energy of its liquid counterparts. This is the same reasoning for the safety levels, as the solid state of electrolytes is less flammable than the liquid state. Lastly, the convenience of SST batteries is a direct result of the charging capabilities.
SST batteries can charge incredibly quickly due to their design, allowing for a charge rate of up to 80% capacity in less than one hour.
Yoshino Technologies' portable SST battery-charging stations come in four capacities, including 330w, 660w, 2000w, and 4000w. This offers customers and businesses convenient access to safe, high-power batteries for use in countless situations from indoor to outdoor applications.
