Australian designer Tom Fereday works together with lighting imprint Rakumba to form the Port collection of lighting. It is comprised of table and wall lamps that are beautifully designed to honor “the refractive nature of crystal." Two shapes make up the capsule including a circular Round design and a longer Stadium design shaped like a lozenge. These are both available in either a tabletop structure or wall-mounted design.
Each one is made from solid glass blocks that are supported by a metal base foundation. The block is comprised of a unique conical shape that has an internal stepped shape, which subtly interacts with the refraction of light when the lamp is turned on. It can be flipped over and reset on the metal base as well. Fereday explains, “Port celebrates the purity and refractive nature of crystal. Reversing the crystal form entirely changes the way the light is perceived, revealing Port’s unique dual character.”
