As many know, traveling over the Christmas holidays can be a stressful, time-consuming hassle, however those who had a chance to use the Denver International Airport's pop-up ice rink were left feeling a little happier.
With it located in the airport's open-air plaza, travelers were welcome to use the rink completely free of charge. It stayed open throughout the holiday season (up until New Year's Day) from 9AM to 9PM. To make things easier, the Denver airport also provided free rentals, a changing area and storage for participants to leave any carry-on luggage they had with them.
Throughout the time that it was open, the pop-up ice rink played host to a number of holiday-themed events as well. This included a movie screening of 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' and an ugly sweater party. In addition, a Christmas market was set up right next to the pop-up ice rink.
