These geometrical sunglasses were designed as part of a contest for Polaroid Eyewear, in which each pair had to represent a modern interpretation of styles spanning from past decades to future ones. From a 1940’s pair of ski-inspired sporting eyewear to a 2020’s pair of structurally futuristic ones, you could easily envision these ultra-rad glasses being worn by the likeness of pop-tarts Nikki Minaj, Lady Gaga or even Sir Elton John.
Those three stars could even have enough celeb power to get a pair manufactured for themselves, as these tinted beauties haven’t yet been put into production. If there is a pair of glasses you just must covet, then you’ll want to vote for your favorite design on the company’s website where you can find many other models to long for as well. The ten best entries with the most votes will be put into production and made part of the company’s 2013 'Best Under the Sun' collection. Just for voting, you’ll also be entered into a contest to win one of 25 pairs of glasses from Polaroid’s current collection. My personal favorite is the Futurum design, but decide for yourself and earn a chance to get your own must-have piece of Polaroid Eyewear for free.
