The POD-Indawo is a cute little prefabricated tiny home designed by a team of South African architects and designers. This structure is designed specifically for South Africa's unique climate and conditions. It is capable of operating both on and off the grid.
The 17 square meter tiny home is constructed from steel, aluminum, glass and wood and boasts a large facade and several windows, allowing for ample sunlight and ventilation. Each tiny home can either be shipped as a basic shell or as a more stocked outfit including appliances, furniture and storage solutions.
The structure can plug into electricity outlets on regular suburban plots, but can also be fitted with solar panels and septic tank toilets -- at an extra cost -- to make it function off the grid.
The POD-Indawo's price hasn't yet been determined, and it will only be available in South Africa.
