'Playmanity' is a new project startup from a team of developers based in Kyiv, Ukraine. With Playmanity, the team is hoping to bring the joy of gaming to the world at a more accessible price point, that price being free. Playmanity will achieve this by running advertisements based on the amount of playtime required. Currently, it is not clear whether the advertisements will directly interrupt gaming sessions or if the ads will be watched in advance.
One notable feature of Playmanity is that it does not function as a game-streaming service, meaning players are able to fully download each title, effectively removing common problems such as input lag or internet-related interruptions. Playmanity will work directly with publishers to ensure that all publishers are compensated accordingly and that all games are acquired legitimately.
