'A Beautiful Mess' has devised a simple tutorial that shows you an easy way of making your own personal pineapple lights. With summer in full swing, these quirky candles are a fun addition to any backyard BBQ or pool party.
To make the adorable pineapple lights, you will need some empty jars, yellow tissue paper, decoupage glue, pipe cleaners, green felt and acrylic craft paint in black and green. To begin, cut your tissue paper into small pieces and use the glue to fix it to the sides of the jars. Once your jars are completely covered in yellow tissue paper, use the black paint to add the pineapple details. Then use the felt to cut out a few leaves and glue them to the lid. To finish, paint the entire lid green.
You can then fill the jars with candles or a battery-operated tea lights to illuminate your pineapples.
