When MTV featured Trend Hunter, the crowd favourite trend was the pierced glasses that we featured last summer. Well, now there's something that blows pierced glasses out of the water: a pierced watch. The pierced watch is created with a surface piercing under the skin that holds the watch. The piercing was created by Peter and Brad at Central Body Art in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Implications - Personally, products like this score high points with me for their novelty factor and ingenuity, but strike out on a practical level. I'm a clumsy guy and I lose things easily. A watch without a strap is an invitation to disaster. I'd love to own one to show off to my friends and family, though. That's where the pierced watch's concept strikes gold with me.
