Photographer Brice Bischoff Captures Mystical Plumes of Smoke in Caves

Photographer Brice Bischoff has created a stunning set of abstract photographs which feature mysterious plumes of bright colors outside secluded caves. The L.A.-based photographer actually captured the images by waving colored sheets of paper in front of some long exposure camera shots, giving them an abstract, mysterious effect. The camera flash, light exposure the blackness of the caves all make for a dramatic finish.
The project, entitled 'Bronson Caves,' was created by the artist in an attempt to create “voluminous, glowing colors” that are “emerging from the mouth of the cave, dancing about the canyon, and bubbling up from the ground”. Photographer Brice Bischoff's work is on display as part of a group exhibition 'Beyond the Barrier' at the Camera Club of New York from March 1st to April 6th.
