Philip de Los Reyes Creates a Highly Stylized Geometry Set
Christopher DeLuca — August 3, 2011 — Art & Design
Philip de Los Reyes has created some of the very best math tools that I have had the privilege of seeing. The designer's geometry tools are highly stylized and created for the person with a minimalistic aesthetic bend.
I think that if I had these tools when I was taking geometry in high school, I probably would have found math a whole lot more interesting. Philip de Los Reyes is a brilliant designer who has created a very visually compelling set. This set would make an excellent gift.
Implications - Youth consumers are attracted to a minimal and clean visual aesthetic. This stems from an over-appropriation of the cultural symbols over the past decade. Companies should take this mindset into account when pitching products to this demographic.
