While most women dread their "time of the month," the Period Store decided to transform the negative characteristics associated with menstruation and host a fun period party.
This fiesta took place on June 28, 2013, and was definitely a huge success. When people first entered the party, they were greeted with a hilarious sign that read, "are you on your period?" which automatically set the laid-back tone. To maintain the theme throughout the event, the color scheme was a bright red and all the food and drinks were inspired by this color. While this may seem a bit disturbing at first, it'd be extremely hard to resist the mouth-watering red velvet cupcakes! To motivate people to not be late, the first 100 guests received a favor back of goodies labeled "go with the flow."
While the idea is quite unconventional, the period party looked like a blast, as there were fun activities like a temporary tattoo station.
