Pendleton Wool Linked with Nike to Makeover Some of Its Classics
Riley von Niessen — September 22, 2016 — Fashion
Reworking a Nike basketball silhouette, in addition to the 'Benassi JDI Slide,' a simplistic slip-on sandal, Oregon's Pendleton Wool stylishly supplies the shoes with its brand colors.
The basketball sneakers are covered primarily in white leather, however the upper is strongly accented with inclusions of colorful wool in yellow, green and black -- all of which are separated by white wool that contrasts with the leather on the rest. The bottom consists of a well-gripped rubber sole of the same tone.
White laces top it all off, making for an iconic Nike look that honors its Pendleton Wool collaboration well. The Benassi JDI Slides do this similarly, however split up the color a little more starkly and impose Nike's branding over top in black -- making for a highly comfortable shoe that's heavily linked to its creators.
