This striking exhibition from Californian artist Pae White is currently on display at the South London Gallery in Peckham. The exhibition, which is called 'Too Much Night, Again,' is made up of a series of thread-based sculptures that were inspired by the artist's insomnia.
The 48 kilometre network of overlapping threads spell out words like 'tigertime' and 'unmattering' as they project out from the gallery walls and onto the ceiling. The epic artwork makes for an impressive collection as a whole. The colors of the threads are beautifully vibrant and create a completely different texture when they overlap in multi-faceted layers. Even the colors take on drastically different hues such as deep reds and dark purples. Pae White is known for her sculptures that use temporary or fragile materials such as thread.
