The rising prevalence of eCommerce has consumers receiving more packages than ever that are simply being left on doorsteps where they can be easily stolen by a thief, so the conceptual 'Unbox' package delivery system is intended to help change this.
Designed by Hyojeong Lee, the unit is intended to be installed at your homes entrance to let couriers simply place the package securely within to keep it safe until you arrive home to retrieve it. The accompanying smartphone app lets users monitor the interior of the unit and ensure they can keep an eye on their deliveries without having to worry that they will get stolen before they can retrieve them.
The conceptual 'Unbox' package delivery system is capable of being retrofitted into existing homes, but also shows promise for new builds to be integrated right from the start.
