Gaming competitions usually involve actually playing the game, but the newly announced Overwatch Cosplay Battle will have various cosplayers competing to see who can make the best hero costume. Hosted by Overwatch's developer, Blizzard Entertainment, the contest is currently limited to Europe and will include three of the top cosplayers from various countries. The countries currently participating in the Overwatch Cosplay Battle include France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
In preparation for the Overwatch Cosplay Battle, Blizzard has assembled a notable panel of judges to critique the competitors. These judges include Blizzard artists Rachel Day and Renaud Galand, and professional cosplayers Sosenka and Kamui. The judges will be used to determine the Grand Prize winner, but fans will get to choose a community favorite as well.
