Not only is this origami lamp made from environmentally friendly materials like paper and wood -- but that is all it is made of. No screws or even glue was used in the crafting of this beautiful lamp. Borrowing techniques from the ancient Japanese art of origami, the folded lamp is made of interlocking pieces that keep it in place.
With wooden rods shaped in a teepee-like structure, they all meet in the center at the top of the lamp, leaning on each other in a perfectly balanced harmony. The wooden rods are covered with a thin layer of natural plant-based oil wax to protect them. The bamboo paper origami lamp surrounds these rods in the shape of a house, with nine folded slits that allow it to have a geometric structure.
