Orbea Showcased the 'Rise' Bike with Seven New Variations for 2023
Colin Smith — December 20, 2022 — Autos
Spanish bike manufacturer Orbea has updated its Rise electric mountain bike range with a new electric motor and various new components that are optimized for performance and lighter weight. The 2023 edition is available in seven different configurations with either a carbon or hydroformed aluminum frame, 140 millimeters of suspension travel on the front and back, and a choice of Shimano motors.
The M-LTD, M-TEAM, M10, and M20 versions come with a carbon frame, while the H10, H20, and H30 versions come with a hydroformed aluminum frame. The Shimano EP801 RS and EP600 RS motors in the H20 and H30 versions have been fine-tuned with Rider Sinergy software to reduce power to 60 Nm for a more natural pedal feel.
The Rise also comes with a new 360 Wh battery that weighs 1.8 kilograms and can be recharged in three hours, or customers can opt for a larger 540 Wh unit that is compatible with a 252 Wh range extender. The Rise comes with a range of Shimano components, including XTR components, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and varying suspension components and wheel options.
Prices for the Rise range from 5,299 Euros, or $5,622 USD, for the H10, H20, and H30 versions to 10,999 Euros, or $11,669 USD, for the M-LTD, M-TEAM, M10, and M20 versions.
