Teenage Engineering has introduced yet another device to its roster in the form of the OP-XY, which is a portable synthesizer and sequencer. The system is designed for upgradeability and there is a strong focus on layering and other audio effects.
The Swedish company has created the structure in a black and white design complete with a grayscale gradient which progresses along the sequencer buttons in the middle of the device. It is not as colorful as some of its other designs but the OP-XY is essentially an upgraded variation of the company's previous generation sequencers. It is notably exclusively controlled through the knobs and buttons that are dotted around the face of the device.
