Hotels.com is giving Twitter users the chance to win hotel vouchers and two-night stays via a unique online livestream on Periscope.
The premise for the social media contest introduces a "livestream of a stream," in which users are invited to watch a real countryside stream and patiently wait for one of three colored rubber ducks to float down it. The real stream that's being used for the promotion is stationed at Dartmoor, which is close to the five-star Gidleigh Park Hotel where people have the chance to stay.
The humorous campaign stars Captain Obvious and invites fans to tweet to @CaptainObvious on Twitter using the #ObviousLiveStream hashtag when they see one of the colored rubber ducks float across their screen in order to be entered into a random draw for the prize.
