The OKO sensor is a new consumer-grade device created with professional capabilities in mind to help plant owners who don't have a green thumb to keep their greenery lush and thriving. The device works by being positioned into a houseplant's container where it will go to work capturing data related to moisture, air humidity, temperature and the pH of the soil. This data is then transferred to the accompanying smartphone app to automatically send the administrator a notification that care is required.
The OKO sensor is equipped with Bluetooth and WiFi, and will deliver up to three-months of use per charge. The device is being crowdfunded as part of a Kickstarter campaign where interested parties can pledge for individual unit, two packs and five packs.
