The Dubai Future Foundation is the first office building with an entirely 3D-printed design that utilizes the modern technology to create cost-effective architecture. The office space features a modern and curvilinear shape complete with a spacious layout that is equally as modern. The building will house space to host events, meetings, workshops and offices for workers.
The design of the Dubai Future Foundation was executed by the firm Gensler and it entailed constructing the building using a stacking technique to arrange the printed layers of concrete on top of one another to form the structure's exterior. Thanks to the use of 3D-printing technology, the building only required one machine to put the space together -- greatly reducing the overall building costs.
