The Observations of Light and Matter art exhibit is an exploration of otherworldly possibilities. It centers around the surreal story of imaginary organisms in abstract landscapes. Filled with sinuous strokes, strange vortexes and pixelated people, the art series is stunningly beautiful and thought-provoking.
Painted by Brendan Monroe, an American artist based in Oakland, California, the Observations of Light and Matter art series has been a way to reinterpret current and past scientific frontiers. Monroe elaborates, "The work is sometimes directly derived from scientific observations and at other times loosely inspired by them. My purpose is to ask the questions that lead to an understanding of physics in nature all around us."
The Observations of Light and Matter exhibit is currently showing at Cooper Cole gallery in Toronto, Canada.
