Design studio Objects of Common Interest is based in both New York and Athens and its latest project highlights a new iridescent resin material that is used to create 13 captivating new objects. The series was presented at Nilafur Depot during Milan Design Week in the form of the Poikilos capsule. It features a range of furniture and homeware that highlight the distinct qualities of fine resin material.
It specifically ranges from small bowls all the way to a large dining table dynamic in color and translucency. Eleni Petaloti, one of the founders of the studio alongside partner Leonidas Trampoukis, speaks about the new series to Dezeen, explaining that "In every piece, you discover another characteristic of the material. The solid pieces are more milky, while the thinner pieces become almost transparent."
