The conceptual Nothing Gamepad (1) video game controller has been designed by Anurag Sarda as an industrial gaming peripheral that takes the design aesthetic of the namesake Carl Pei-founded tech brand. The controller features an ergonomic form that's engineered with a number of intuitive controls like joysticks, D-pad controls, action buttons and triggers on either shoulder. The control is constructed with an opaque front fascia alongside a transparent backplate that will enable the internal workings of the peripheral to be visible.
Sarda spoke on the conceptual Nothing Gamepad (1) video game controller saying, "The playful LED accents react subtly to gameplay, enhancing immersion without being a distraction,” Sarda adds. Just like the Nothing Phone puts the glyphs on the back so as to not distract from the screen on the front, the Gamepad (1) does the same, but the glyphs shine through the back, creating a halo of sorts on your palms and your desktop while you game."
