Summer is just about here and cyclists are super happy to finally have some sunny, dry weather on the horizon to make biking expeditions that much more enjoyable; but the NIVIS snow cycle really turns that idea on its head. Forget about what you currently know about cycling around the city because this design doozy brings a whole new concept to the table.
Designed by Lisa Gehrung and Rainer Lahm, the NIVIS snow cycle pretty much combines a ski-like front "wheel" with a more traditional tire in the rear. Equipped with a pedal as well as a chain that are typical of all bicycles, this bike urges the rider essentially interact with the back wheel while steering the front with the handles.
