This Ironic Nike Shirt Has a Blurred Out Brand Logo
References: burlesquedesign & fancy
Graphic designer Mike Davis was inspired to create this hilarious blurred out Nike shirt as a tribute to rap and hip hop music videos that feature artists wearing notoriously popular brand shirts with pixelated logos.
Mike Davis's company Burlesque of North America developed these censored brand name shirts as a parody on television shows and music videos that censor out famous company logos. These Nike shirt was chosen because of Nike's world-wide celebrity status as a retail brand. The pixelated design of the Nike logo makes it look as though a camera is blurring out the Nike brand name when in actuality, the logo itself has been pixelated directly on the shirt.
I'm not exactly sure how Mike Davis was able to play around with the Nike logo without infringing trademark rights, but this censored Nike shirt is pretty cool.
