Nicolas Holiber is a man with a vision -- an artistically eco-friendly vision. He creates colorful mixed media sculptures with unwanted materials from discarded pieces of wood and thrown away shipping pallets to found feathers and nails. Piecing them together to create giant heads, Nicolas Holiber appears to be encouraging people to humanize such objects in order to rethink their use.
Although Nicolas Holiber's work ends up forming into such three dimensional portraits, he doesn't start with an end game in mind. Beautiful Decay writes, "The sculptures come alive after being assembled, destructed and rebuilt. The process is the same each time, no exceptions. Nicolas Holiber creates from doing; with the intent of building beautiful things from a mess. Give him trash, reclaimed wood and a couple of nails and he will be able to come up with a bold, vibrant and stimulating piece of art."
