Next Cabane by Fabrica is a curated art project that re-imagines the classic wooden cabins that were once used by fishermen to protect them against the elements as they worked outdoors. In place of old wooden planks and moth-eaten cloth fabrics, these artistically rendered cabins are stunningly contemporary.
Seven designers participated in the art installation titled Next Cabane by Fabrica. Design duo Amaury Poudray and Brian Wood created the aptly named Rod, which is a simple series of poles that effectively deconstructs the shelter for purity's sake. Kirsty Minns' The Waiting Room, on the other hand, deals with the concept of time to show that there is more to the practice of fishing than simply catching fish.
Next Cabane by Fabrica is being shown at the Mudam Museum in Luxembourg.
